. >>> we see slow traffic coming to the willow pass grade, no major problems and the commute looks good if you are driving south, let's go back to the desk. >>> they are cleaning up from a video store. tara moriarty is there so this is not an accident, correct? >> reporter: this was done on purpose. we were the first crews to arrive and we thought it might be an accident but no, it was deliberate. you can see crews have now board up the store. here is a dramatic look at the car parked inside the store and they smashed through in order to make a brazen burglary. the incident happened shortly before 4:00 a.m. this morning. it triggered the alarm and police arrived just after 4:00. police were running the license plate and they believe the car was stolen. the driver is nowhere to be seen. officers found iphones missing from the display case and they are not sure if they ran away. she was shocked. she said somebody threw a rock through the window but nothing like this never. obviously they will be closed for business today and there is a video camera in the store but it is pointed towards the

:20 this afternoon on fair haven drive just south of the willow glen neighborhood. police say they were called out on reports of a vehicle accident but when they got there they say they found a 16-year-old boy sufrg from at least one gunshot wound. officer tell us he is san jose's 4th homicide victim of the year. that's a 20-year high for the city. >>> a man was killed in a vehicle crash in santa clara county early this afternoon. the accident happened on mount hamilton road just before 12: sls 15 p.m.. chp says he was driving a pickup truck when he went off the road. weir told the vehicle tumbled 80 to 100 feet to the roadway below. >>> the accident happened about 8:00 this morning on east 14th street at 165th avenue. officers say that a toyota camry rear ended another toyota that slamed into the school bus. two 17-year-old special needs stunts that bus and one of the drivers were treat affidavit complaining of pain. police say the driver of the toyota camry was blinded by a frosty windshield and the sun. >>> transportation officials are blaming faulty brakes on a truck for a dead

canyon in vallejo, highway 37. a flash flood warning until 12:45 for willow brooke at pen grove park. not just confined to petaluma. some of the storm drains overwhelmed and a closer inspection here, american canyon and the yellows, the heavy rain. further south from san leandro and 580 castro valley looking at the moderate rain. look at the reds here from fremont out over the bay. as we go further to the peninsula further west you can see the rain coming down pretty good with the greens and yellows from mountain view. and around san jose right now the rain picking up as well from cupertino, santa clara and santa cruz mountains. half moon bay and 26-mile an hour wind gusts from hayward into the livermore valley. we showed you the snow and temperatures in the upper 40s to the lower 50s right now. very gusty winds. heavy rain. clearing by about 1:00 in the north bay. going to take to about 3:00 in the south bay. a dry christmas eve and the winds continuing to pick up to tharily afternoon north. 3:00 south. and here is where we are getting that enhancement right along the peninsula as the st

jose, north first street it's raining real hard. willow glen is going to be raining really hard within the next couple of minutes in your place. campbell you're getting heavy rain. milpitas, you come north and you will see showers up around scott creek road and fremont that's moving off to the east so you're going to start to dry out for a little bit. you move up toward liver mother and sonol and showers are moving in a northeasterly direction. so the showers working their way out. santa cruz up in the hills here you're getting some moderate rain. just one of those nights a lot going on. the showers are going to die down and when they do it's going to get cold. it got warm when the clouds came in and the clouds this morning and they never allowed the temperatures to warm up. some of the temperatures were in the 40s. 46 in napa. 48 in concord. overnight lows are going to be down into the maybe upper 30s and lots of low 40s. there's going to be lots of valley fog in the morning. there might even be a few sprinkles. there'll be a -- a lot of clouds. there'll be some breaks, some su

willow brook creek behind me. people that work nearby were surprised how quickly it filled. it was completely empty on thursday. we have video from the guerneville area yesterday where one man whose trailer sits on right on the bank he watched the river rise up 17 feet yesterday. some drivers ignored those warning signs. they tried to cross anyway but didn't have any look. >> we were coming from windsor and we were going to the mall. once we got to the water. you could see the cars smoke coming out here and i turned the car back off and turned it back on. and we opened the doors and all the water came in. >> everybody thinks they can come through and they don't make it. >> they don't make it. a windsor resident he pulled out three cars. it forced the closure of route 12 and highway 121 but it happened all across the bay area. i shared a tweet. from sonoma news telling the followers to avoid it unless you are driving a boat. that was for the routed 12 and 121 closure. today as lisa mentioned a respite in the storm but they are using today to brace for tomorrow. reporting live, "abc

flooding in petaluma and willow creek. you can see the back edge of the front. this is where the winds have died off and the rains have ended. still some very heavy rain through novato and southward. and there is also flooding reported in marin county with a flood warning through 10:15 from the creek to the east bay, hercules and vaw knee shaw, 580. flooding in santa cruz, santa clara county. moderate rain in fremont and gusty winds in union city. on the peninsula, a heavy downpour and winds have lightened up here. but still some light rain. the front has yet to move through san francisco. some heavier rain on the peninsula from woodside to 280 and flooding is happening in the santa cruz mountains. we are looking at rain rates of an inch an hour and another additional inch is forecasted. take a look at these current wind gusts. you can see where the front has moved through. it is breezy and dangerous out there. and throw 10:15 we will be looking at flooding imminent, and then beyond that the creeks and the streams will be draining into the rivers, and then we are looking at the rivers risin
